What is this event about?

This event brings together families of individuals with 16p11.2 syndromes, leading scientists conducting research on 16p11.2, and experienced healthcare providers. The goal is to foster connection, learning, and support in a collaborative environment.

How do I attend? When and where?

What is included in the registration fee?

Each attendee ticket will include the following:

Yes. Meals and snacks are included. The hotel will accommodate:

Can I modify or cancel my registration?

Cancellations are accepted up to 2 weeks prior to the event. For exceptions, contact events@16pdel.org.

Can I bring a guest?

Yes, but every guest must have a ticket, regardless of the sessions they attend.

Is there a discount for younger attendees?

The cost of the ticket does not change according to age. The price set for tickets is 1/6th the actual base cost. Your ticket can be viewed as a contribution towards the expenses of the conference.  

Is accommodation provided for attendees?

Yes. A group lodging rate is available at $155/ night at the Hilton Anaheim – Click For Discounted Conference Rates.

What about transportation/shuttles/parking?

Is there childcare?

Yes! We are happy to provide childcare on site through both professional caregivers and volunteer OT student candidates getting their PhD at nearby universities. Children will be provided kid-friendly snacks in between meals. Childcare hours will mirror the agenda for the conference lectures. Childcare will take place in Catalina rooms 1 and 2. There will be a calm room and an activating room with appropriate toys, games, crafts, movies and video games. There will be a nanny cam in each room for parents to keep an eye on their children while in the Avalon for lectures. Children are allowed to accompany you to all of the events if they do not disturb the flow of the conference and can remain quiet.

We recommend childcare even with the slightest hint of doubt. If you already paid for childcare, you will receive an email with a detailed agenda of activities planned by one week prior to conference. Children will be divided into ages and development for appropriate play. This is a wonderful opportunity for those with 16p variations to see others like them. Will there be networking opportunities?

Yes! Opportunities include:

What is the dress code?

Is the event accessible to individuals with disabilities?

How do I purchase discounted Disneyland / California Adventure tickets?

Click here to purchase specially-priced Disneyland® Resort Theme Park tickets.

  • Tickets are valid from Friday, Sept 26, 2025 through Tuesday, Oct 7, 2025, meaning you can purchase tickets for a theme park visit during this 12 day window.
  • Our ticket store closes at 9:00 PM PST on Wednesday, Oct 1, 2025.
  • These special ticket prices are not available once you arrive at the conference.
  • Don’t delay! Prices are subject to change without notice.

These specially priced tickets are for sale only to individuals attending the event for use only by event attendees and their travel party during their stay. Each event attendee (with a registration confirmation) may purchase up to six (6) tickets from this ticket store. Disney reserves the right to contact the ticket purchaser to request that the ticket purchaser provide their event registration confirmation. If it is discovered that the ticket purchaser is not participating in or attending the event, it will be considered a violation of the ticket store terms and conditions, and the ticket(s) will be de-activated and will not be eligible for a refund. To enter a theme park, Guests (ages 3 and older) need both valid admission and a theme park reservation for the same day and same park they want to visit. Park reservations are limited in number; subject to the availability of park reservations allocated to park tickets as determined by Disney, and theme park capacity; and are not guaranteed. What COVID-19 safety measures are in place?

As of now, there are no specific COVID-19 restrictions in place at the venue.

I can’t find my registration confirmation email. What do I do?

Check your spam folder. Still can’t find it? Visit the registration desk onsite or email events@16pdel.org

When are registration / check-in hours?

Registration will initially take place at 12:30 on 10/2/25 in the Avalon Foyer. There will be volunteers to check in those coming in late.

When does each session start?

Refer to the conference guide / agenda near the top of the page.

Can I get an extra conference bag for someone who couldn't attend?

Unfortunately, bags are limited. Check back at the registration desk on the final day to see if extras are available.

I have dietary restrictions. What should I do?

If noted during registration, special meals will be available via a ticket to present to catering staff.

For last-minute needs, contact event staff immediately.

What is the WiFi Information?

Detailed will be posted at the venue and in the conference guide.

Will I receive a list of attendees?

For privacy reasons, we cannot share attendee lists. Connect with attendees in person or via social media!

How do I submit a special request for my hotel room?

Please specify your needs during your reservation process. The hotel offers accessible rooms upon request.

What time is check-in and check-out of the hotel?

Refer to your hotel reservation email.

What restaurants are nearby the hotel?

  • Restrooms are located on each floor, clearly marked on signage and the hotel map.
  • There are 8 elevators:

    • North of the lobby bar
